Installation
Command Pocket ships as a standard Unity package. Setup takes less than a minute.
Requirements
- Unity 6 (6000.0) or newer. Unity 2022.3 LTS is not supported by v1.2; use Command Pocket v1.0.0 on older editors.
- Windows, macOS or Linux.
Method 1: Unity Asset Store (recommended)
- Open the Command Pocket Asset Store page and select Add to My Assets.
- Open your Unity project and go to Window → Package Manager.
- Switch the dropdown to My Assets, find Command Pocket and click Download, then Import.
- Keep all files selected in the import dialog and confirm.
Method 2: Custom package
If you received a .unitypackage file:
- Open your Unity project.
- Go to Assets → Import Package → Custom Package... and select the file.
- Ensure all files are selected in the import dialog and click Import.
First-time setup
On first launch, Command Pocket will:
- Build a menu item cache. It takes a few seconds, then it is cached for instant searches.
- Register the keyboard shortcuts with Unity's Shortcut Manager.
- Ask you to pick a profile name, used for Git-friendly team sharing. You can skip this and set it later in Settings.
