Interface Overview
The Workspace is built from six parts, top to bottom.
1. Search bar
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| Search field | Auto-focused, real-time results; a long query scrolls inside the field |
| Prefix chips | + > = @ ?, click to insert a prefix |
| Clear | Clears the current query |
| Preview | Toggles the right panel (asset preview / editor) |
| Settings | Opens the Settings panel |
| Pin | Keeps the window open after executing an action |
| Float / Dock toggle | Workspace only, switches between docked and floating mode |
2. Quick Actions bar
Two drag-and-drop zones for your most-used items. The bar's height is adjustable by dragging its handle, and it can be collapsed into a slim strip. See Quick Actions for details.
3. Tab bar
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Command | Main search and prefix modes |
| Asset bookmarks with categories | |
| Notes | Task manager |
| Colors | Color palette |
4. Main content area
- Command / Pocket: list view with icons, titles and paths.
- Notes / Colors: grid of cards, or a compact list view (toggle in the header).
5. Right panel (preview / editor)
The right panel slides in on demand instead of being an always-on split:
- Command / Pocket: asset preview with thumbnail, name, type and full project path.
- Notes: the note editor (title, description, priority, due date).
- Colors: the color editor with the embedded picker and copy buttons.
Toggle it with the eye icon, or drag the separator between the panes to resize. Dragging fully to either edge collapses that pane; clicking the pinned separator restores it. Pane layout is remembered per mode, per user.
6. Footer
Shows the version, inline keyboard hints and, when the search bar is hidden, the relocated toolbar buttons. The Ctrl/Cmd + K Actions menu lives here too.
